As a part of the corporate art program European Property Development (EPD) and CEE-Invest v.o.s. exhibit contemporary Czech art in the Praha City Center.
On Thursday 22 March the private view of an exhibition by Petr Faltus and Peter Balhar took place in the Praha City Center building. The exhibition was opened by well know publicist Karel Steigerwald.
The title of the exhibition, 'Road less Maintained,' indicates the artists' search for adventure. This is an adventure that does not take place in exotic climes, but all around us. Ordinary and forgotten things gain a new dimension if we pay attention to them.
Petr Faltus is a painter and graphic artist, Peter Balhar a sculptor.
They met at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, where they studied under Professor Jiří Šalamoun in the 1990s. Petr Faltus' graphic and pastel works, and Peter Balhar's sculptures and reliefs are connected in spirit. The mysterious connection is revealed to those who visit this exhibition.
The works in the exhibition are for sale. It continues until 15 May 2007, and can be visited by the public on weekdays from 10:00 to 17:00.
