MAGICAL SPELL OF THE LITTLE WORLD

On Wednesday May 13 2009, a private view of the exhibition Magical spell of little world “took place at Praha City Center building, showing paintings and prints by artist Ewa Nemoudry. This private view was prepared in cooperation with the project Světluška of Český rozhlas foundation. Ewa Nemoudry has donated her painting “Little Girl and Glowing Matches” to be auctioned during the private view of the exhibition. All proceeds from this benefit auction - 25.000 CZK - went to the Czech Radio Foundation “Světluška”, helping blind children.

Ewa Nemoudry is a painter, graphic artist, and fashion designer. She studied at Prague University of Applied Arts with Prof. Josef Svoboda, one of the world famous stage designers of his time. Ewa Nemoudry’s pictures – acrylics, watercolors, collages and lithography - are figurative compositions. The poetry of her work is achieved by specific figures that look like children’s cut- outs. The artist’s rich fantasy combines scenes of everyday life with the world of dreams, creating her own magical world.

Since 80’s Ewa Nemoudry has been exhibiting her works not only in the Czech Republic but also in Barcelona, Vienna, Geneve, Frankfurt, Krakow and in Japan. Her paintings are parts of private collections all over the world.

All exhibited works are for sale. Exhibition continues until August 31, 2009, and can be visited by the public on Mo - Fri from 10:00 to 17:00 on the 1st floor.
