As a part of the corporate art program CEE-Invest v.o.s. exhibit contemporary Czech art in the Praha City Center.
The current exhibition at Praha City Center started December 7, 2005 and features the well known artist Aleš Lamr, presenting his new works. The exhibition was opened by jazz singer Jana Koubková and Jan Vodňanský, well known writer and singer.
Aleš Lamr, one of the leading Czech painters of his generation, was born in 1943 in Olomouc. He studied at the art school in Brno, and his first job was at Barrandov Film Studios. Since 1968 Mr. Lamr works as free- lance artist making paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, ceramic and illustration works and designing many architectural commissions.
He has showed his works in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, USA, Venezuela, etc. Mr. Lamr was awarded many times, i.e. Joan Miro Award in 1985 in Barcelona, Spain. His works are represented in many galleries and private collections in all the countries he exhibited his works in.
Aleš Lamr presented his works at Praha City Center in 1996 at the exhibition starting our program Art at the Office. His colorful, dynamic and powerful paintings make him very popular among the art buyers.
The exhibition lasts until 20th January, 2006 and is open to public everyday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
