REMEMBERING LANDSCAPES
Paintings, Aquarells, Drawings
On Thursday, 24th November 2011, a private view of the exhibition “Remembering Landscapes“ showing paintings, aquarells and drawings by Alena Beldová, took place at Praha City Center building. This private view was organized in cooperation with Domov Sue Ryder foundation providing dignified and loving care to elderly frail people who are dependent on the assistance of others due to an illness or old age. Šárka Augustinová, representative of Domov Sue Ryder, and Maya Lukas, art curator, were auctioning a painting donated by Alena Beldová “Kočka v zahradě (Cat in the Garden)”. All proceeds from this benefit auction were remitted to Domov Sue Ryder non-profit organisation.
After the graduation at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in 1985, Alena Beldová focused on a textile design. She designed a fabric and textile for several Czech and Austrian factories and workshops. At the same time she dedicated herself to a freestyle painting. In 1999, she visited Brittany and the wild beauty of Brittanian coast inspired her to paint landscapes.
All exhibited works are for sale. Exhibition continues until 31st January 2012, and can be visited by the public on Mo - Fri from 10:00 to 17:00 on the 1st floor.
